    1. 3 - "Don’t be afraid to let a little happy into your life." Stars.Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. Always For You: Jack, is one of those books that wasn’t a huge struggle to read, but as it progressed I found myself asking a few questions with regards to the writing style, characterization and the path the story took."You’re a nice man"I think my main issue is that I had real problems trying to see Caitlyn and Jack as people in their thirties, firstly the language and conversation betwe [...]

    2. ARC requested through Netgalley, and kindly provided by Random House Publishing Group in exchange for an honest review. This was my first read by Alexis Morgan and it won’t be my last. I loved every word!! I didn’t feel like I was reading a romance with a bit of plot sprinkled around it. No, I felt the romance part of this story was secondary to Joe finding his place in life. The romance was an added bonus and rounded out the story, but Joe and his struggle to help down on his luck teen, Rick [...]

    3. Jack McShane's military career is over due to a knee injury. In addition, he comes home for his father Joe's funeral only to learn the his father wanted Jack and his two brothers Tito & Mikhail to run the family construction business. Joe and Marlene adopted the three as they weren't able to have children of their own. After Joe suddenly passed away, Jack was voted to help Marlene keep the family business running smoothly. As Jack began working at a construction site, he noticed a hungry boo [...]

    4. AVAILABLE: April 19, 2016Sergeant Joe's Boys seriesAlways for You: Jack (Book 1)Always be True: Tino (Book 2) *Available October 4, 2016Always for You: Jack is the first book in Alexia Morgan's new Sergeant Joe's Boys series. This is also the first book I've ever read by this author. While I thought this book was a good read, I thought it lacked in some of the romance that it had the potential to convey.Jack (and his brothers) returned home to bury their adoptive father when they learn that Joe [...]

    5. You can consider me a fan of Alexis Morgan, but still I was kind of nervous when I picked up “Always for You: Jack” the first book in her new series called “Sergeant Joe's Boys”.You might wonder why I was nervous – but that is easy to explain – I know this author to be one of my GOTO authors when I want to enjoy a good paranormal romance. But just because an author is good at one genre does not necessary mean he is also good at another. But don’t worry – Alexis Morgan is not one of [...]

    6. Well geez! Of course, I was had at the twenty-one gun salute . I am a 27 year vet's wife for crying out loud! What a beautifully written story about hope, trust, family and second chances! It was a refreshing read.Sergeant Joe, father of three adopted sons, Jack, Tino and Makhail, has just been laid to rest after a sudden heart attack took his life. Retired veteran and owner of a successful construction company, Joe's final wish is for his boys to take over the construction business. Problem is [...]

    7. Always For You: Jack is far more drama than romance. Leading man Jack McShane, is that perfect blend of tough and tender, sure to inspire both desire and curiosity in the reader. The lose of both the foster father, who raised him, and his place in the Special Forces unit that he loved, leaves Jack more in need of the nurturing effects of home, family, and his foster mother's delicious dinners than ever before.Faced with the choice between striking out on his own, and fulfilling his foster father [...]

    8. 2.5-3☆ A good storyline. The character development was a bit lacking for me, just couldn't connect with themn just my personal opinion

    9. The book was slow going at first and I almost gave up about half way through but the emotional payoff in the end was worth sticking with it.The story concept was interesting and the characters that were introduced had the potential to be intriguing but the story kind of dragged and I just couldn't get invested in the main characters, Jack and Caitlyn. I decided to soldier on and am glad I did as the emotional conclusion was worth it. The author just needed that kind of emotional investment earli [...]

    10. This was a heartbreaking yet heartwarming story of love and acceptance. I would consider it a MUST READ for anyone that enjoys stories by Nicholas Sparks or Jude Deveraux. Joe and Marlene started out as foster parents and then later on the adopted three boys they were fostering. Joe has recently passed away and all three of his boys are home paying their respects and helping their mom out as well as comforting her, but nothing would warm her heart more than seeing her three boys settle down and [...]

    11. Rating: 3.5 StarsOkay. This novel is a mixed bag for me. If I had read this novel as family fiction, then I would have probably given this book more stars. The writing is good and so is the pacing. I was engaged from the start until the end. I just wanted more depth to Caitlyn and Jack.I loved Ricky and his story line. The depth of Ricky's character is awesome. I could feel his anguish over his neglectful, uncaring mother who put her own wants and desire far above her only son’s. I was truly h [...]

    12. I find Always For You: Jack’s blurb a bit misleading. Ok, so misleading might be too strong a word but there are a couple of things that are not as mentioned above.Jack was Special Forces but had to retire because of an injury, and is doing some private work for a friend where he can put all the skills he honed during his time in the military to good use.He and his two foster brothers (who are also in the military) were fostered by a great couple. Joe, their foster Dad passed away leaving them [...]

    13. The beginning of Always for You by Alexis Morgan drew me in right away with an immediate mix of sad yet hopeful emotions. I loved how we are first introduced to Jack's mother first, and from there to her three sons. The instant sense of connection and family between these people was heart warming, and from the start the characters felt real. I could feel the caring they had for one another.Always for You is mainly Jack's story, and I really, really like Jack. With his foster mother and father's [...]

    14. Always for you:Jack by Alexis Morgan is the start of a new series about Sergeant Joe's boys. Sergeant Joe and his wife Miriam adopted 3 teenage boys and these books are about them. The book opens with Joe's funeral and the three boys, all who have been in the military, are home on leave for his funeral. We learn quickly that Jack has left Special Forces because of a leg injury and is taking over his late dad's construction business, albeit reluctantly. At the job site, he notices a young boy who [...]

    15. THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS ***************************I thought that Jack seemed like a pretty upstanding guy, but at times he comes across self centered. He works on getting a kid named Ricky to trust him, and this is through 90% of the book. Once he finally, finally has his trust he attempts to throw it away because he doesn't feel worthy. Being in a situation like Ricky you would think that he would realize how hard it was for Ricky to trust… I don't understand why he almost threw it awa [...]

    16. ARC generously provided via NetGalley, in exchange for the above honest review.2.5-3 Stars This was the first book I have read from this author. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from it but the blurb intrigued me. However I didn’t exactly love this one, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the best I’ve read either. I did like how we got three different POV’s: Jack, Caitlyn and Ricky’s. Mainly we get the H/h’s POV but it was a nice change to have the addition of this troubled kid woven [...]

    17. If you enjoy a story about family and the dynamics of fostering at-risk youth and even adoption, this is a book for you.The author, whom I have not had the pleasure of reading before, delves into a story about the strength of family and the way it can work to build up and support children who are at risk. Wrapped around this theme is also a beautiful love story that is relatively clean but adds the depth emotion, connection, and passion that we all crave in a relationship. The author brings us a [...]

    18. This story tugged at my heart. The backgrounds of the heroine, Caitlyn, the hero, Jack, and the child who brings them together, Ricky, are tough ones. Jack sees himself in Ricky who is not used to trusting people. Caitlyn helps Ricky with his education so that he can move up in life. The danger to Ricky is ever present, and the fear that it will find him underlines Ricky's behaviors. I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to the next in the series.

    19. There was something about this one that got to me right away. I loved the brothers, loved how much they loved their family, even if they weren't born to it. Loved that all 3 boys managed to find a mom and dad that cared for them and showed them what a family should be. Now we get to see those lessons in spades as Jack comes back home after his father's death and runs into a boy that was just like him and he immediately steps up and does something. Jack knew what he was getting into with Ricky, k [...]

    20. 3.5 stars.I applaud Ms Morgan for tackling the issue of homeless kids. She also created a H/h couple who have had to overcome some dark issues in their own past. Except for the kid's family, everyone else seem very decent and upstanding not sure how realistic that is.The romance is slow-burning and quite believable, given the "niceness" of the couple. All in all, it was a very NICE read.

    21. A former soldier with a great big heart. Nothing at all to complain about. Foster kids, domestic violence, romance, HEA.

    22. Thanks to Netgalley and Loveswept for my ARC in exchange for honest review. Jack McShane and all her brothers were raised by wonderful parents. When his father Joe passes away, he comes back home to take over Joe’s job while figuring things out He was adopted by Joe when he was troubled teenager. They looked after him better than his own father and grandfather. So when he saw Ricky, he found himself in Ricky. Jack wanted to help Ricky out but he knew life of runaways. They don’t trust people [...]

    23. Really likable characters, and an engaging plot. The attraction is instant, but the love and trust takes time to grow. Much preferred to the insta-love stories.

    24. Well developed characters you can relate too and conflict that is also relatable to real life instead of the overly dramatic internal conflict and overreactions that many romance authors create.

    25. I really loved this book and can't wait to read the rest of this series. Jack was raised by Foster parents who gave him love and security. Jake finds Ricky a young boy who was beaten up badly but won't tell anyone who did it. Jack and his mom takes Ricky in to help and protect him. They hire a tutor for him which is Caitlyn and Jack is instantly attracted to her. Caitlyn has past issues with her ex she is trying to get over but she is drawn to Jack. What I loved most about this book was Jack and [...]

    26. This is my first book by author Alexis Morgan and she brings a realism to her work that really pulls you into the world she's created. Jack McShane and his two brothers have all returned home to bury their adoptive father, Joe. All of the young men are serving in the military except Jack who now does dangerous private contract work after a knee injury ended his military career. Their father has left the boys equal shares in the family construction business. It was his hope and their adoptive mom [...]

    27. 3.5 out of 5I read a few of Ms. Morgan’s paranormals a few years ago but a) took a break from paranormals altogether and b) reached my tolerance level for number of books in a series. Because of these reasons she fell off my radar. Then a few weeks ago I noticed that Always for You Jack was on for a very good price and since I’d enjoyed her books before, thought I’d give this one a try.The book starts off at a funeral, the funeral for Jack McShane adopted father. Jack had been adopted a nu [...]

    28. Always for You: Jack (Sergeant Joe’s Boys) by Alexis Morgan is a family-focused story, light on the romance, but so sweet and heartwarming. It reminded me of a Nora Roberts series, Chesapeake Bay, at some points. The story is about how much you gain when you open your heart and home to children without one.(Disclaimer: I was pregnant, which means pregnancy hormones were coursing through me as I read this book. I’m not sure if my sobbing was a reaction to the sweet relationships that the men [...]

    29. Reviewed at Keeper BookshelfWe aren’t always born into family, sometimes we end up making our own unique family from non-blood relations. Jack and his foster brothers were taken in by Marlene and Joe, eventually adopted they all created a loving, strong family of their own. When Jack’s father passed away, his mom needed him back home – and Joe’s will firmly placed Jack at the head of the family and the family’s construction company. Jack is a rescuer and a nurturer, even when he’s no [...]
