    1. I love Home at Last! Country music singer Luke Stone has been to hell and back and has the scars to show. After being locked away for fifteen long miserable years, he's free at last. He only wants to focus on his beautiful Darlina who never lost faith in him. By the time he steps off the bus and into her arms, the wedding has already been planned. There were many moving scenes in this story but the wedding was very touching. They wrote their own vows and spoke from the heart. I had tears welling [...]

    2. With her first book, "Flowers and Stone," Texas author Jan Sikes introduced her readers to honky-tonk musician Luke Stone and the love of his life, Darlina Flowers. Now, Sikes brings more to the adventurous life of this couple with a beautiful continuation in her latest book, "Home At Last." Luke Stone and Darlina have been through so much - including the stressful period in which Luke was imprisoned for reasons unjust and unreal. But now Luke is home with his family and friends and is determine [...]

    3. Continuing the saga of Rick Stone and Darlina Flowers, Home at Last shares fifteen years of this couples’ life after Rick is released from prison. We see him trying to settle in and make a home for his new family which includes Darlina and the two little girls he cherishes as his own. There are ups and downs along the way including a health scare and issues with extended family, but through all, the love of Rick and Darlina is center stage. That is what this series is about…two souls who rem [...]

    4. One of the elements that makes Jan Sikes’ novels compelling is that they’re autobiographical. I was so moved by her second book, The Convict and the Rose, that I knew the third book in the trilogy would prove equally poignant.Luke Stone is finally released after spending 15 grueling years behind bars for something he didn’t do. Darlina Flowers meets him at the bus station, filled with anticipation and hope for the life together that was denied them when Luke was imprisoned. With little mon [...]

    5. The story continues for Darlina and Luke after he is released from 15 years in prison. It is their happily ever after in this fictionalized true-story, but with reality thrown in. It shows Luke’s adjustment to being back home, along with their financial struggles. But, it’s more than that. It is the weaving together of a new family, a new chance at life, and what is the single most important aspect of this story--a timeless love. It’s a tale that shows the reader what is important in life, [...]

    6. When I bought Home at Last, I did so with the expectation that I would be reading a story about a couple who had endured some trials together and that this would be a chronicle of these times. I can say the book delivers fully on this expectation, but that is not what I want to comment on in this review. I was unprepared for the deepness of the love that Darlina and Luke had for each other. Of course, the reader would expect the couple to love each other but not with the intensity and passion th [...]

    7. There are love stories, and there are romances. After this read, I have been able to differentiate between the two types. The difference is this, as I see it, in romance, you feel all the bodily, and emotional excitements that come mostly from touching, and making love. In love stories, you feel a wholesomeness that comes from a deep feeling of knowing that what you feel for the other is equally reciprocated. In love stories, you don’t need too much touching or love making, to feel loved, alth [...]

    8. LOVE TRIUMPHS EVERYTHINGBy Joyce Shaughnessy Home at Last is a wonderful title for this book. It tells the love story of a man released from prison after 15 years and the love he shares with the woman who has waited for him. Through good and troubled times, they struggle together, supporting each other the entire time. The story brings together a family separated and brought together by the love they share. The fact that this is a true story makes it even better

    9. "The constant North Star of their undying love had carried them over insurmountable obstacles." It will again! After 15 years in prison, Luke Stone is Home At Last.Although Luke's transition back into civilian life wasn't easy for him, Darlina, and their two girls, they never gave up believing in second chances and living life to the fullest through all their hard work and endeavors. Many heartaches, losses, and struggles met them head on, but for Luke and Darlina there wasn't any mountain to hi [...]

    10. Very readable bookThis ‘love story’ about Luke and Darlina, based on truth, is an insight into two lives that truly captivated me. Jan Sikes has an extremely fluent writing style that draws you in and encourages you to carry on and discover what will happen next. The struggles that Luke and Darlina endured rose from the page and involved me in a world far from my normal life. There are twists are turns along the way that drew out my emotions and made me wonder how I would have coped. This ve [...]

    11. Home At Last tells us about Luke and Darlina as they try to move forward with their lives. Luke has been released from prison, but the struggle is far from over. They refuse to keep looking back at the mistakes of the past and instead push forward, never giving up on their love for each other. It's a touching tale that showcases a forever kind of love. I enjoyed this book. The writer engaged my emotions from the beginning, and I was rooting for Luke and Darlina until the end. Once I started read [...]

    12. A love story of two people whose love for one another gets them through the toughest of times. He is a musician who spends 15 years in prison for bank robbery; his love, Darlina waits for him and they marry upon his release. She is his constant support, encourager, and best friend. He vows to change his life for the better and becomes a true father to her two daughter and regains love and trust from his biological kids.A touching story about how unconditional love can overcome any adversity.
