    1. Original fiction:"When Your Child Strays From God" by Sam J. Miller - I think this is the second of Miller's stories that I've read. Again, pretty gut-wrenching. A mother goes searching for her son, even resorting to taking the drug he takes to find him."Further North" by Kay Chronister - a biting and bleak story about sisters forced to become worm farmers in Alaska. Good stuff."Android Whores Can't Cry" by Natalia Theodoridou - unreliable narrator here. I like it but still feel like "what just [...]

    2. I liked most of the original fiction in this issue:Natalia Theodoridou's "Android Whores Can't Cry" is told as a series of notes by a reporter looking into a corrupt, genocidal future government, in the company of a friend and his rental android girlfriend. I enjoyed the trip, I would've enjoyed it more had I grokked the damn ending. ***Kay Chronister's "Further North" is a tragic near future story where a new disease has been wiping out herds of animals, and an ill wife afraid she is the first [...]

    3. I'm being a bit more intense about tabling stories for later that don't hook me right away. I'm trying to get through all the 2015 Clarkesworlds before 31 March 2016 (for Hugo nominations.) Eep!"When Your Child Strays From God" by Sam J. Miller - 4 starsInteresting mother-son revelation story via psychic-psychodelic sci fi drugs. Submissive cult-like context for mom made this story extra special."Further North" by Kay Chronister - 4 starsCompelling biomedical-terror-oops-polio narrative. 4 stars [...]

    4. A very good issue of Clarkesworld. My favourite has been the “Buddhist” sci-fi set in a hostile, far away world “The Hunger Tower”, sure this Pan Haitian is an author I'd like to follow (if only there were other novel or short stories of him translated out of Chinese, that's it…), followed shortly by the after-life (?) adventure of “The Accord” and the near future “Hair”, but I've enjoyed all the other stories too.In the non fiction “Eternal Wanderers Between Fire and Ice” w [...]

    5. When Your Child Strays From God by Sam J. Miller was the highlight of this issue. It's about a mother who realizes the lengths she'll go to in order to understand and love her child. Surprisingly happy for a story that begins seeming like an anti-drug tale.
