    1. Okay, first off, I hate with a burning passion the whole "vampires/zombies are an infection, nothing supernatural" crap so many do. To me that's just lazy writing. Because supernatural origins means so much more research and imagination. (Plus, while it wouldn't apply to this book as it's a "guide" rather than a novel, it's always fun to see a character who's a non-believer of any sort suddenly having to grow and be more open minded when confronted by the supernatural.)Next, this book is all "gu [...]

    2. If vampires truly existed, then wouldn't it make sense that someone would write a guide to assist in the war against these undead? That's the premise behind "The Vampire Survival Guide" by Scott Bowen, published by Skyhorse Publishing, the company also behind "The Zen of Zombie."As a pure survival guide, this book covers everything necessary -- how to detect the undead, how to arm and defend yourself, and how to ensure you don't become infected and join their ranks (think of it as collected meth [...]

    3. I really Enjoyed this book because it was meant to be funny and sort of an odd way. It was the type of book i like to read. I would recommend my book to some people, but not everybody. I think that only some people would like it and get it. If i were to recommend this book to someone, i would make sure that they like this kind of stuff first or else they might get kind of bored reading it. I definitely wanted to keep reading this book. I always wanted what kind of weird information that they wou [...]

    4. I went through three stages with this book:Amusement: "This is funny!"Annoyance: "How far can we take a conceit?"Admiration: "I think no stone was left unturned. Well done!"I appreciate the humor and the thought that went into this book.

    5. Perhaps the only novelty book I've seen in the last few years that I actually like. This is far superior to the less entertaining Zombie Survivial Guide in both humor and creativity. My favorite passage:'Random Question: If I'm a skinny person living among a lot of really overweight neighbors, should I be afraid?''Before you get to feeling all superior about your thin person genes, or your yoga routine, or your incredibly disciplined anorexia, ask yourself if you happen to know how to handle a R [...]

    6. It was an okay book. To be honest I was hoping for a repeat of the enjoyment I experienced reading the Zombie Survival Guide, but was a little disappointed. This book just didn't seem to capture that 'magic' the ZSG had. Still, if you're looking for a little light-hearted fun with a few interesting tips on surviving an assault from the undead, go for it.

    7. This book was loaded with facts. I was really impressed. It lacked the raw humor of the Zombie guide but I was blown away with some of the Vampire facts. I really thought all those things were super cool and scary. I almost had a hard time sleeping last night from it. I bought it yesterday and finished it last night. It is a fast and interesting read. I thought the pictures were also pretty funny and different.

    8. this was not as good as I hoped. I had heard so many things about the Zombie Survival Guide which is on hold at the library, so I figured anything about vampires would be good, but yeah, I was not a fan.

    9. King of dumb and ill prepared when compared to "The Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks. I mean, if you're into supernatural survival guides and fear a vampire invasion, don't go for this one right off the bat. This is too "whatever" but has some interesting history surrounding vampires.
