    1. Initially, I was moved by the writing style and dreamy setting that filled the first few chapters of this book. But when things took an unexpected turn, I was left scratching my head. I could see where the author was going, and it was a commendable effort. But the result was a story that veered away from what could have been an exceptionally magical tale. I was kept waiting for answers that never came, or came too late. And it was hard to stay invested. Still, the story had merit. The concept wa [...]

    2. Every now and again you come across a book that is a bit odd to read and you wonder what you are reading and what is going on in between the pages. For me that was Clearer in the Night. The book from the outside looks just like your ordinary New Adult romance , but within the pages tells a different story and a different genre that what I was expecting. At first we learn that Cait's sister and dad died when she was younger and I assumed it was to be another New Adult tragic story and that she wa [...]

    3. My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.Disclaimers: I received a copy of this novel from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not obligated to write a good review nor did I receive any compensation for writing this review. My Overall Thoughts/Impressions:This book was one that I just had a hard time getting into. The beginning bored me and the story dragged. I just couldn't get into the characters and the plot. However, having said that the novel did pull out a three star review. I thought [...]

    4. I liked the way this book stars and I loved the ending, and there was a great deal to like about the book as a whole. The writing is good. The central character and narrator, Cait, is smart and resilient. The story moves smoothly from run of the mill coming of age/ girl gone a bit wild to a supernatural event that ups the stakes and forces Cait to grow up and reevaluate her choices. I was more then happy to follow Cait into the realm of the supernatural and Rebecca Croteau did a good job weaving [...]

    5. Clearer in the Night was a great read! Rebecca Croteau is a breath of fresh air, and I am so happy to have found her book! I love the way the story is written. Its very fast paced and exciting. From the moment I picked up this book I was hooked! I finished this book almost to quick, and I need more more more!Cait was an awesome main character! She was really tough, had tramendous strength, and showed such class with how she dealt with her little quirks. Mind reading and werewolf bitesrew it. She [...]

    6. Once upon a time, I was an avid reader of fiction with a supernatural element. I absolutely devoured Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire Series, and then fell in love with Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series. From there, I picked up just about anything I could get my hands on that included vampires, werewolves, fairies, telepaths…if it had a supernatural element, I actively sought it out and read it. Eventually, however, I stopped reading this genre because everything ha [...]

    7. "Said that once you'd been touched by darkness, you could see clearer in the night, and could help to protect those who were still night blind." -EliFirst I would like to mention that I got this book from the author onNovel Reviewersto read the book in exchange for the chance to have the book read and a reviewed. I never read the synopsis for the book when I requested it, I liked the cover and the title and just decided to give it a chance. When I first started reading I thought that I wasn't go [...]

    8. I received a copy of this story from Net Galley. Yay books!Spoilers possible aheadI really couldn't get into this story. I tried. I would put it to the side for a while then go back to reading, hoping I could focus on it. It didn't work. Some parts of the story was okay. Not great. Justokay. But I was t crazy about the writing. The descriptions mainly. Like, every time Cait would see/kiss/whatever Eli she would compare him with a cold shower. I'm assuming the writer meant that he was refreshing, [...]

    9. *ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for a honest review.*This is the hardest thing for me, to give out bad reviews. I really hoped that I would like this this book but this book did really not work for me! The book from the outside looks just like your ordinary New Adult romance but sadly it was not like any New Adult book I have ever read. At first we learn that Cait’s sister and dad died when she was younger and I assumed it was to be another New Adult tragic story and that she was a high [...]

    10. ARC provided by Netgalley in exchange for a honest review. This is the story of Cait who wakes up in the hospital after a viscious attack to find out that her world has been completely changed. This book was probably one of the most confusing and unsatisfying books I have ever read. There was just too much internal dialogue verse actual action and resolution to make this a good read. The author could have honestly cut out at least half of the book to make it better. At some parts I found myself [...]

    11. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review**Caitlyn is 22 and started hearing people in her head. The first one was Shannon, her best friend. Caitlyn's sister and dad are dead. Her mom is a drunk. Caitlyn saw the ghost of her sister and she told Cait to wake up now, she was just a dream and to forget she was there. Cait woke up in a hospital. She had been out for three days with a real high fever and no real reason for it. Wesley Chase had danced with Cait at a club. She [...]

    12. Please note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.I love this book's cover. It was what made me want to read it at first glance. The introduction of “Clearer in the Night” immediately caught my attention. It was full of mystery and I just knew some action was about to happen. This book focuses more on the characters and their thoughts instead of action packed scenes and fictional events.I give this 3 out of 5. The novel was very well written and good pacing in [...]

    13. This book was written good, but it just wasn't for me.I disliked the characters so it was too hard to connect with them. The MC grew up in an abusive environment, had practically no sense of self worth, and performed sexual acts just about anywhere, anytime. The two love interests were exact opposite of each other. One was an Alpha male, the other a quiet observant church goer. The supernatural aspect wasn't built up very well and I found it dull. Yes, there were a few good twists, but they were [...]

    14. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. So It took me a while to get into this book. It started off really slow for me and gradually turned into a little more fast paced. This story is about a girl named Cait who can read people's thoughts. But hold the phone. She's also a werewolf. She's in her transformation stage and here comes Eli to take her out You know Axe her. Then there's Wes who I thought was also a werewolf and then he ends up having this super dark side. Then the love t [...]

    15. I don't usually read romance novels and have not read one in years. Therefore, I was surprised, to say the least, upon reading the "love" scenes in Clearer in the Night. It is not your Grandmother's romance novel and it seems like sex was at least a fourth of the book. The story started out interesting and the story idea is good but there was a lot of distraction from that story line for me with the repetition of certain words (eg.: smirk) and phrases. Also the book ended with several questions u [...]

    16. I loved this book, full of wonderful characters and a story that didn't hand me every detail through some omniscient narrator. Don't let the "choose between two men" hook fool you, this isn't a romance. It's definitely got love and relationships as a theme but I read it more as a supernatural thriller. It's got great pacing and a well developed world. Definitely looking forward to future installments of these stories!

    17. I really enjoyed this book. The writing style would not make you think of a supernatural story, it is almost poetic. Then comes some wonderful mystery that I was trying to solve up to the very end! It was sad, happy, thrilling, and crazy (lol) all in one! This was not your average supernatural tale, it had people with real life issues going on and then you throw in some werewolves! I would recommend anyone who like supernatural stories to read this!!!

    18. “Clearer in the Night” starts out strong with the original voice of a troubled woman who accepts that she’s messed up and has no clear way to steer out of the cesspool her life has become. Read full review in the 2015 July/August issue of InD'tale Magazine.

    19. Pretty cool story with lots of twists and crazy stuff happening. I was definitely intrigued from the beginning, and I read with interest throughout. The author writes sex scenes very well, and the description was good overall. I was confused in a couple sections but in general I liked the story and would read it again.

    20. Don't go in expecting a Happily Ever After-- go in expecting a captivating read that seamlessly folds fantasy into the work-a-day world and adds some delectably intimate scenes for a good measure of spice. Go in for a solid voice, a brilliant turn of phrase and an escape to how things might be, if only we looked at the world a little closer.

    21. *ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.* I hate leaving bad review's, but I really struggled to get into the storyline. Yet I tried on numerous occasions but gave up. Sorry, but it was a DNF for me.

    22. I loved this book. It is most definitely supernatural, NOT romance as the cover pic implies. Took a little bit to get into for me, but then I was hooked and couldt.putwn. Read it straight through, all night! Haven't been that obsessed with a book in a long, long time. Highly recommended!!!

    23. There were some slow parts for me, but when it did pull me in, I was intrigued. It's certainly not your typical paranormal read, which was a welcome for me. The main character is strong, despite her flaws, and there's enough mystery in the plot to keep you guessing until the end.

    24. I was a little disappointed in this book. This book had a boring beginning for me and I was a little lost in this book. I did not related to the characters and overall was just sad I didn't more out of it. * I received this book from LibraryThing giveaway in exchange for an honest review*

    25. It took me a bit to get into this book but once I did I was totally hooked. I almost gave up on it but I'm glad I stuck it out. It really started to pick up the pace about 1/2 way through. I liked the ending. I'd read the next book if the author writes another book.
