This was a page-turner! Lynne was a compelling, well-drawn character in a situation that many people have faced - do you keep looking for that one special true love, or settle for good enough? I was intrigued from the start of this story, as it began with a delicious mystery, which continued to develop and then unfold with pleasing affect. This would be a good book to read after you've had your heart broken. I felt uplifted and hopeful after finishing it.From the beginning I was really drawn into the story. To find ones soul mate is rear (and I think that's what we all want). With compelling characters and a cleverly crafted story line, Maria Savva’s The Dream is a highly enjoyable tale. It starts off a tad slow, but stay with it and you will be rewarded. Savva’s protagonist, Lynne, comes through as authentic in her moods, emotions, and actions. We feel her frustration as she attempts to maintain a relationship gone cold and root for her as she attempts to unravel the mystery behind the man haunting her dreams. This book was a light and fast read, but it left me wanting a little more resolution at the end. I enjoyed how Savva encouraged the reader to really think about the significance of dreams, but the magical time travel seemed a bit forced. That said, the characters were believable and I identified with their struggles to find true love and to do what is best for their relationships.

The story and characters quickly pulled me in and kept me engaged from start to finish.

The story was interesting, however the writing was childish and the dialogue awkward.
